7 Steps For Planning The Perfect Week


Check out our tips on how to plan the perfect week so you can live your life to its fullest:

Sit down with a cup of tea or even a glass of wine with your diary and begin to plan out your week. It's a habit I never break because I find the weeks I do not plan for do not go as well, or as positive. So, schedule in all your work activities and then plan around your social ones in around it - not forgetting to schedule it that much-needed downtime.

 

SUNDAY IS FOR PLANNING:

My favorite part of filling in the Getting Things Done Planner is planning my meals for the week. This is super important especially if you're trying to eat healthier. Not only this but by planning your meals ahead of time you'll be saving yourself money from last-minute unhealthy buys on your way home!

Even plan out your outfits for the week to save yourself time in the morning searching for that perfect outfit. If something needs ironing, do it now to save yourself the stress of fighting with the iron in the morning. Pack up your handbag! I, for one, am always forgetting something, whether it's my office keys, house keys or phone charger. But, this doesn't happen when your bag is perfectly packed the night before!

BE MORE MONDAY

Monday is usually the hardest day of the week and the busiest. We are back touching base after the weekend and we tend to lose the day very quickly. That's why you need to go over and beyond today to make sure you not only get what you want to get done but more. Make Monday you're most productive day by completing all of those menial, long tasks that would usually take all week.

 

TRIPLE TUESDAY:

Along with your usual Tuesday tasks do three things that you usually wouldn't do today. Whether its drinks with your friends or trampolining after work. Make sure to fill your day with three things that take you out of your comfort zone and see how much fun you can actually with it. Tuesdays are now your exciting, unknown days where you will do different things every week. This will break up your week and make it more exciting!

WIND DOWN WEDNESDAY:

Forget face masks and Netflix on a Friday, use your Wednesdays to pamper yourself and relax. It's midweek and your week is almost finished, that's why it's important to take tonight for yourself rather than waiting to do it on the weekend. This will free up your time more and make you feel more energetic to do the things you want to do on the weekend. So, make sure to unwind today however you like!

THURSDAYS ARE FOR YOU:

I know that work can sometimes take over and your week sort of passes you by, but today after 5 pm you're putting all of that aside. Take the time for you, so do you! Work on a project you've been dying to start and make Thursday your day to keep working on it. That way after a few weeks you'll already be making progress and have started to build something! You'll be on track for completing your goals and getting things done at last!

FUN ON FRIDAY

Make Friday your fun day! Every Friday go out with your girls, or even just go for dinner after work and enjoy yourself. After a while, you will know that Fridays are reserved only for social and will help you attain that balance between work life and social life. Plus, it's the perfect way to end the week and will get you out of the house!

SATURDAYS ARE FOR SORTING:

Use your Saturday to get your household in order. Do all the pesky things you usually put off and don't like to do like laundry and cleaning. Try not to waste your whole day doing chores though as it's not the only thing you have to do today! Saturdays are for sorting your life, which means all those things on your to-do list that you never want to do you have to do today so you can actually enjoy your Saturday evening however you like!
